PunkMeTender, born Romain Lefebvre in 1982, is a French-born street artist whose dynamic and colorful creations have garnered international acclaim. Growing up in Paris, France, Romain developed a deep appreciation for art, drawing inspiration from the vibrant cityscape and cultural richness surrounding him.
At the age of 18, Romain embarked on a transformative journey, immigrating to Los Angeles. It was in this bustling artistic hub that he encountered the world of street art, a pivotal moment that would shape his artistic identity. Influenced by fellow artist Mr. Brainwash, with whom he collaborated for over 15 years, Romain delved into the realms of street art, graffiti, photography, and fashion.
Adopting the pseudonym PunkMeTender, Romain pays homage to his musical influences, namely the legendary Elvis Presley and the electronic duo Daft Punk. The fusion of punk aesthetics with tender expressions characterizes his unique artistic style.
Central to PunkMeTender's work is a fascination with transformation, mirrored in his iconic use of butterfly silhouettes. His bold three-dimensional mixed media creations serve as canvases for explosions of color and texture, showcasing his mastery of spin art.Collected by notable celebrities including Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, and Cardi B, PunkMeTender's influence extends beyond the art world. As he continues to evolve as an artist, PunkMeTender remains committed to creating transformative experiences that speak to the profound connections between art, emotion, and the human experience.
